Block The Chain wants everyone to be able to read this site and run its checks, whatever device or assistive technology they use. The site is built to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA.
Pages conformant, site partially conformant
The pages of blockthechain.nl are, to our knowledge, fully conformant with WCAG 2.2 AA. The site as a whole is partially conformant: the two downloadable sample evidence files (PDF) have not yet been assessed. We plan to replace or tag them.
Every release, every page, both languages
Every release runs an automated accessibility scan (axe-core) on every page in English and Dutch, in dark and light mode and in both views, plus keyboard, zoom and phone-layout walks. The checks are part of the same gate that blocks a release on any other failure. Last full check: 29 September 2026.
Keyboard, contrast, tap targets and calm motion
A "Skip to content" link, one heading structure per page, keyboard support for every control including the tabs and the theme panel, colour contrast of at least 4.5:1 in both modes, no information by colour alone, tap targets of at least 24 px, no motion when your system asks for reduced motion, and a Simple view with no motion at all on every page.
